IT’S been the most talked about global airport security debacle recently, and the woman who was forced to remove her nipple rings with pliers has made readers cranky.

Texas woman Mandi Hamlin was forced to remove her nipple rings by airport security guards in Lubbock, Texas, after the US national security transport body, the Transport Security Administration, failed to have a specific policy about body jewellery in place.

The TSA recently issued a public apology to Ms Hamlin, after she went public with a press conference where she told of how humiliated she was after her nipple rings were brutally removed.

The TSA then outlined its changes to the screening of passengers with body piercings in the future.
