Although it has some of the biggest success of her Motown with classics such as “Is not no mountain high enough” and “Reach out and touch the hand a person” by Ross and “you all you need to get by” by Guy and Tammy Terrell, Ashford and Simpson also created anthems for others, such as “I’m all woman,” Khan (remade later by Whitney Houston). Ashford and Simpson also had success writing for themselves: Perhaps the best-known song that they sang the 1980s hit “Solid as a rock.”

“His music is unparalleled in terms of songwriting great,” said Verdine White of Earth, wind and fire after learning the death of his friend.

“They were magic and that’s what creates those wonderful visits, that’s magic,” added White. “Without those songs, these artists have not been able to move to the next level.”

Others in the music industry also mourned the loss. On Twitter, and Alicia Keys wrote, “I’m sad to the point that he went … and so many more greatests going to come from somewhere … a legacy of infectious music … man!”

“They were always comfortable with each other, and they are all comfortable, because it was convenient,” said White.

Happened when the first major success came with “Let’s Go Get Stoned” for Ray Charles. Become a bluesy, gospel, tinged song, a great success for Charles, and soon, they came to the attention of the records, and began writing for Motown artists, their hits.

Began to write affectionate, and romantic works for binary Gay and Terrell to become an instant classic, like “Love is precious,” and “Is not nothin ‘like the real thing.” In fact, “Is not no mountain high enough” was originally a hit for them, so Ross rerecorded at a later time with the new arrangements sweeping grandeur and make it pop song signature.

May be greater than Moses Ross: It has to have some of the biggest songs and helped her career, to identify visits that would distinguish her solo away from the Supremes. Among the songs that were hits Ross “Reach Out and Touch” and “Boss,” “Betty,” and “Missing You”, in honor of the late Guy and others. It is also composed some music for “The Wiz,” musical film which starred Ross and Michael Jackson.

They also have success in their entity’s, but despite the “solid as a rock”, and songs that dwarf those formulated by others. Continued in the formulation of hits, even in the new millennium: the book credited as joint and Amy Winehouse in “Tears dry on their own.”
